Here’s the damage:

I Definitely Bent at least one Tie rod:

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

And This points straight:

Kinja'd!!!

A friend of mine that lives near my work offered to take me to work this morning as well as take me home tonight, and my parents did say I could take our Honda Odyssey. And as a bonus I got paid this morning, and it was about $100 more than I had expected, so this won’t be as much of a hit to my bank account. I’m going to buy the parts through work on my lunch break today, and fellow Opponaught Jake Huitt, said he could help me replace the parts at his grandparents garage this saturday afternoon. I’ll take it in for an alignment after that. This sucks because I just put in new outer tie rod ends and got it aligned about 2 months ago

thats rough, but think of how much you are saving versus if you couldn’t install them yourself! Ice happens.

You should probably do the ball joints while you’re at it if you aren’t already planning to.

Watch out for differences between the old and new parts. When I paid someone to do the ball joints on my truck (Mazda version of yours), the old ones had metric threads and the new ones didn’t (maybe it was the other way around). The tech used the old nut on the new part. It let go the next morning while I was doing 65mph down the highway. Fun times.

You live in Colorado, get snow tires. You live in Colorado, get snow tires. You live in Colorado, get snow tires. You live in Colorado, get snow tires. You live in Colorado, get snow tires. You live in Colorado, get snow tires.

Sorry it’s just that you’ve posted about how sketchy it is to drive your truck, how you were hoping not to die etc and then this happens. It’s a sign to get snow tires, what if you didn’t hit a curb and instead went off a road completely and got hurt?

You live in Colorado, get snow tires.

Nonono, that was my delivery truck. My personal ranger is 1993 XLT with the 4.0 V6 and General Grabber AT2s all around

I had trouble aligning it, so I took it off. That one is off a junkyard 1991 ranger. I’ll eventually try at it again.
